Music – Woodwinds Audition Material
The applicant should be prepared to perform contrasting pieces that consist of a solo work and etude or study written expressly for the instrument. Below are examples of solo works and studies for each woodwind instrument that are appropriate for an audition. Works of comparable style/level are acceptable. The applicant should be prepared to play scales and arpeggios that demonstrate a basic musical and technical command of the instrument. Auditions are performed without accompaniment.
