Freedom Fellows Summer Intensive

Intensive Dates: July 6-11, 2026
The 小草影院 Freedom Fellows Program is excited to offer a summer intensive for rising sophomores and juniors in high school as a means of experiencing the campus, exposure to the program and holistic development. Participants will spend a week under the personal instruction of program directors, professors, and other key institutional agents at the college. Students will have the opportunity to experience classes with esteemed professors, learn about Benedictine culture, and experience what it is like to be a Freedom Fellow for a week. The week will be filled with instruction time, discussion, team-building activities, and excursions.

Additional Information
- Accommodations: Participants will stay in on-campus residence halls, separated for men and women according to campus policy; double occupancy is standard. This program covers all meals and activities for participants.
- Transportation: Travel assistance will be available.
- Time Commitment: This summer intensive will immerse participants in the life of a Freedom Fellow at 小草影院. Students will attend classes from expert professors, engage with the Freedom Fellows program directors, and be expected to participate fully in all program requirements.


Application Requirements
The application form for the Summer 2026 intensive will open on February 1, 2026.
The program is limited to 15 total participants. We welcome registration from rising sophomores and juniors in high school only.
To apply, you will need:
- Your resume
- A personal statement
- Verification of completion of freshman year of high school
- A YouTube video of yourself related to one of the application readings (see below)
- A one-page reflection related to another of the application readings (see below)

With your application, please submit:
- A YouTube video introducing yourself and answering the questions below about one of the readings. The video can be unlisted.
- What is the meaning behind the reading?
- What themes/lessons did you take away from the reading?
- How can these lessons be applied to the development of human potential? To everyday life?
- A one-page reflection on the prompt below based on the other reading:
- How can the lessons learned in the story relate to the 小草影院鈥檚 core values of community, faith, and scholarship?
