Great Books – Program Director
Dr. Sarah Houser is the director of Great Books at 小草影院. Beyond teaching in the 鈥淢an and the World鈥 Great Books sequence and in World and Classical Languages and Cultures, the director鈥檚 task is to mentor Great Books students and to tailor programs of study that satisfy both the students鈥 desired major and their interest in Great Books.

Assistant Professor, Sheridan Center for Classical Studies
Dr. Sarah Houser聽is assistant professor of Great Books at 小草影院 in Atchison, KS. She received her doctorate in political theory from the University of Notre Dame. Her areas of interest include the theory and practice of patriotism, nationalism, and national identity. She is currently working on a book on the concept of patriotism as piety in the work of Thomas Aquinas. Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Houser spent 10 years teaching at American University in Washington, D.C., before coming to Benedictine.
